NWPC-SD, a credentialed chapter of National Women's Political Caucus, re-chartered with the national organization in 2007 when South Dakota was experiencing an increasingly conservative legislature, fewer progressive women legislators and the abortion ban on the November 2006 ballot.
Since then they have achieved success in helping numerous women get elected to local and state offices and have become the go-to organization for women interested in running for office or working for women running. They have held campaign trainings as well as other informational meetings to educate and involve women in the political process.
NWPC-SD usually meets monthly on Saturdays
10:00 - 11:30 am at the Downtown Sioux Falls Library
200 N Dakota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD

National Women's Political Caucus
Founded in 1971 by inspired leaders like Congresswoman Bella Abzug, Shirley Chisholm and Gloria Steinem, the NWPC and its many local chapters work to increase the number of feminist women elected and appointed to office every year. NWPC helps to identify, recruit, train and elect women who are committed to reproductive rights, pay equity, access to affordable child and dependent care and equal rights for all individuals.
